DHAKA: BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to sit with his party chairperson Khaleda Zia to make the country stable.
The spokesperson for the party made the call while addressing a protest rally organized by Mehgna-Daudkandi Jatiyatabadi Forum at the National Press Club.
Indicating Sheikh Hasina, he said hold dialogue with Khaleda Zia immediately, if you don’t want to bring the country on the brink of destruction.
He also criticized the Abdul Latif Siddique’s remarks over hajj and Tablig Jamaat.
Forum president Mohammad Shahjahan Chowdhury, Khaleda Zia’s advisor AZM Zahid Hossain and BNP joint-secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed also spoke.
