DHAKA: Jatiya Party chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad will celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha festival in his hometown in Rangpur while his wife Raushan Ershad, also opposition leader of the parliament, in her hometown in Mymensingh.
However, Ershad, who had reached Rangpur on Friday, is expected to attend Eid prayers at Rangpur Central Eidgah.
He will exchange Eid greetings with his party’s local leaders and activists at his home called ‘Palli Nibas’.
He is scheduled to return to Dhaka on October 7.
Besides, Raushan Ershad, who has reached her hometown Mymensingh on Saturday, will celebrate the Eid at her ancestral home ‘Sundar Mahal’.
She is expected to return to Dhaka the day after Eid or the next day.
