DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 will pass the verdict in war crimes related case against BNP lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury on Tuesday.
On August 14, the tribunal led-by Justice ATM Fazle Kabir concluded the proceedings of the case fixing no date and time for the verdict.
On November 14 in 2011, prosecutors submitted the formal charges to the court against Salauddin, a leading opposition lawmaker, citing his involvement in 24 incidents of crime against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
On December 16, 2010, BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury MP was arrested from a Banani residence in the city, a day after investigators petitioned the International Crimes Tribunal for issuing arrest warrant against him on war crimes charges.
Later, police showed arrested him for crime against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
