DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Tuesday categorically said everyone should stand against conspiracy to protect democracy.
The BNP chief, also Leader of Opposition, urged all to oust the government that does not know to honor respected people of the country.
She was addressing a conference organized by pro-BNP business leaders at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on Tuesday Khaleda Zia also called upon all to resist one-party national elections to protect the democratic rights of the general people.
She added: “Micro-level committees will be formed if needed to prevent elections under a partisan government.”
The former prime minister also said, “The government is beating its own drum which is totally redundant as people know very well about the so called development throughout the country.”
The opposition leader also alleged that conspiracy aroused to annihilate Noble Laureate institution Grameen Bank and it would ruin the progress of women empowerment.
She expressed hope that the ruling Awami League-led government would come to an understanding instead of choosing a path of violence.
