CHITTAGONG: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to visit Chittagong on Saturday morning.
Sources said a helicopter carrying the premier will land at Chittagong cantonment around 9:45am.
Later, the premier will start for Bahaddarhat in the port city to inaugurate Bahaddarhat flyover. Later, she will inaugurate a mural of Bangabandhu in Lalkhan bazaar area.
Meanwhile, the premier will address a public meeting at Jamiatul Falah Mosque ground and also inaugurate 24 development projects here.
Earlier on August 30, Sheikh Hasina visited the port city to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of some development projects.
Following the visit, Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) chairman Abdus Salam told that Prime Minister promised to develop the port city and she has taken so many steps in this regard.
South District Awamil League General Secretary and CDA board member Mafijur Rahman told banglanews, “There is no program of mass rally but the Prime Minister is likely to address a public rally at Jamiatul Falah mosque field.”
Later, she will return to cantonment to attend ‘Darber’ of the Bangladesh army and will go to Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) to inaugurate Bangabandhu complex.
Then, the premier will go to Potenga by helicopter to join ‘Darber’ at Bangladesh Naval Academy.
Later, she will fly for Dhaka from Naval Academy helipad.
