‘Strict action if any abuse on minority’

DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia categorically asserted that firm action would be taken if any violence on minority takes place.

The opposition Leader came up with the assertion while exchanging greetings with Hindu community for Shuva Bijaya at city’s Gulshan Ladies Club Saturday afternoon.

Terming the country as a land of communal harmony, Khaleda said, “We believe in communal harmony as per Bangladesh is not a place for dreadful communal violence.’

‘Stern action would be taken along with people if there is any conspiracy or attempts to foil the harmony,’ she added.

Senior party leaders accompanied her during the greetings.
