DHAKA: Main opposition BNP is likely to call three-day dawn-to-dusk countrywide hartal from October 27, if they don’t get permission for on October 25 grand rally.
The decision was taken in the party’s standing committee meeting on Saturday night, sources confirmed.
Besides, Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir declared to stage protest rally and procession in all districts protesting the restriction on rally.
But he did not say anything about hartal.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) imposed a ban on holding any kind of meeting, procession and rally in the capital for an indefinite period from Sunday morning to avert anarchy and confrontation.
