DHAKA: A huge numbers of law enforcers were deployed around central office of opposition BNP in Nayapaltan of the capital on Sunday morning.
Sources said that no activists, but BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Ahamed Rizvi was seen in the office.
Criticizing government, Rizvi Ahamed told banglanews that deploying innumerable policemen at office premises and creating panic was government’s redundancy.
Meanwhile, all types of shops were removed from the footpaths adjacent to BNP office.
Paltan Thana Sub-Inspector Jahangir Alam told banglanews, “According to our scheduled duty, we are working here and if anyone tries to create anarchy, they will be arrested.”
On the other hand, opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir declared to stage protest rally and procession in all districts protesting the restriction on rally.
