DHAKA: Some 26 activists of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir were held from Mirpur National High School at Mirpur-2 in the city on Monday evening.
The members of law enforcing agency nabbed them in the evening.
However, the identity of the activists couldn’t be known immediately.
Mirpur Zone Assistant Police Commissioner Imtiaz Ahmed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
He said, “On a tip off, police held them as a group of Jamaat-Shibir activists were doing secret meeting to plot against the government.”
