FROM DINAJPUR: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also ruling Awami League president, on Tuesday sought vote again for ‘Boat Symbol’ to continue the development of the country.
“We have to go a long way for development. No people in Bangladesh will suffer from hunger or live without shelter. We will fulfill demands of every people to build a developed and prosperous country by 2021,” she said.
The premier came up with the plea while addressing a mass rally at Gore-A-Shaheed Boro Maidan in the afternoon.
She added: “Countrymen gave us vote to go ahead. Bangladesh as a democratic country will march forward. None will be able to impede the progress of the country.”
Urging people to cast vote for Awami League to complete the unfinished works, she said, “We want to move the country forward while BNP is trying to push the country back.”
With state minister for land and president of Awami League Dinajpur district unit Advocate Mostafizur Rahman Fizar in the chair, the rally was addressed, among others, by Tofail Ahmed, Amir Hossain Amu, Syed Ashraful Islam and Jahangir Kabir Nanak.
