DHAKA: Opposition BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Friday said the Awami League government does not have any rights to issue directives as their tenure over Thursday.
The spokesperson for the party came up with the assertion while addressing 18-party’s rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the afternoon.
He also told his audience: “Awami League government captivated opposition leaders by giving false cases. It has killed religious personalities and tortured opposition men in last five years.”
Fakhrul also said, “The incumbent government has taken position against the people. The government must quit otherwise it has to be ousted by staging movement.”
Thousands of leaders and activists of the alliance gathered at the venue from the morning ignoring drizzling.
