RANGAMATI: Four policemen were injured in a clash with 18-party leaders and activists from a rally in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Friday afternoon.
During the time, police opened fire rubber bullets and from the shot guns to take the situation under control.
Additional district Superintendent of Police Habibur Rahman told banglanews that while holding a rally on the Chittagong-Rangamati road, 18-party leaders and activists suddenly attacked the police, leaving four policemen injured.
Police fired from shot guns, rubber bullets and lobbed tear shells to take the situation under control, he added.
District BNP President Dwipon Dewan told banglanews that police along with the ruling Awami League cadres attacked the peaceful rally, leaving several activists injured.
