DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia over phone to talk for reaching consensus over polls-time government on Saturday.
They started phone talks after 6:00pm, said a competent source.
Earlier, opposition BNP requested Sheikh Hasina to call Khaleda Zia again at 9:00pm Saturday.
The request was made after Sheikh Hasina failed to reach Khaleda despite several attempts as the opposition leader of the parliament did not receive the phone calls.
Earlier, the premier, also ruling Awami League president, called Khaleda Zia over phone from 1:15pm to 1:45pm to urge for holding dialogue in resolving ongoing political deadlock.
