“Govt wants consensus with poison in tongue”

DHAKA: Joint general secretary of the opposition BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed alleged that incumbent government had been talking about consensus with poison in their tongue.

He came up with allegation at the Nayapaltan central office on Sunday morning.

Rizvi Ahmed told banglanews, “Even on Sunday, they government has nabbed, killed and harassed BNP activists in the name of searching their houses while observing peaceful shutdown.”

He also said that police shot to death a Swechchhasebok leader Maruf Hossain in Nagarkanda of Faridpur in the morning.

Besides, they were harassing and misbehaving with the families of BNP leaders and activists in the name of searching their houses around the country, BNP leader alleged.

Slamming the government, Rizvi said it was not the BNP or 18-party activists, rather the police, after the order of the government, had created a warlike situation in the country.
