DHAKA: At least 20 people were injured in a clash between hartal supporters and law enforcers in Raj Fulbaria area under Savar upazila of the district on Monday morning.

Witnesses said that picketers came out with a procession on Dhaka-Aricha highway and vandalized around 10 vehicles in the area at around 8:00am.

However on information police rushed to the spot and chased them. At one stage picketers and cops locked into a fierce clash, leaving 20 people injured including pedestrians.

Police opened fire and dispersed the hartal supporters from the scene.

Savar Model Thana Assistant Police Super Moshiuddoula Reza confirmed the matter to banglanews.
