DHAKA: Police in a drive held 12 activists of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, from various spots of the capital early Tuesday.
Sources said that acting on tip off Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 held nine Shibir activists from a three-storied building of Nayatola Maghbazar at around 1:00am.
Later, police held more three Shibir men from Pagla Mazar area with cocktails and cocktail making materials.
Meanwhile, police recovered 15 cocktails, 2.5 liters of petrol, toll collection receipt books and huge explosives from the spot.
Ramna Zone Assistant Commissioner Shibli Noman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
