DHAKA: Opposition BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed alleged that incumbent government unleashed countrywide violence to stay in power illegally.
He came up with the allegation while addressing a press conference at Party central office in city’s Nayapaltan on Wednesday.
Rizvi strongly criticized the recent tyranny upon opposition activists saying at least 21 leader-activists of 18-Party were killed and scores others injured critically.
He said, “Illegal Awami League government is ruling the state and they could generate anarchy and also restraint it, so it is clear that the agents of the ruling party carried out violence across the country.”
He also criticized recent cocktail blasts in Party’s acting general secretary Mirza Fakhrul’s residence and also criticized Home Minister for his repressive stand amid opposition’s peaceful hartal.
