DHAKA: Law enforcers will detain senior vice-chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman instantly after he returns home.
Tarique, son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, was wanted in 20 cases. Though he got bail in most of the cases but he is wanted in Money Laundering case filed by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).
On October 24, the lawyers of accused completed their cross examination of ACC Deputy Director Mohammad Ibrahim, the Investigation Officer of the case against Tarique Rahman.
The lawyer of ACC Advocate Mosharraf Hossain Kajol told banglanews, “Not only Tarique Rahman, those who are warranted in any cases, police will arrest them. This is the rule.”
On May 26, Dhaka-3 Special Judge Mozammel Haque issued arrest warrant against Tarique Rahman in the money laundering case.
