The host trail by 336 runs from the hefty 498-run lead that Sri Lanka accumulated over the last two days.

On Wednesday, the visiting Sri Lanka declared after piling on a whopping 730 for 6, after Mahela Jayawardene reached his seventh double-century and Kithuruwan Vithanage scored his maiden century in only his second Test.
Shakib Al Hasan begged three wickets and Sohag Gazi took two wickets while Al-Amin Hossain picked-up one wicket.
