Bangladesh have three pacers -- Robiul Islam, Rubel Hossain and Al Amin Hossain.

The visitors were without Prasanna Jayawardene, who flew home for family reasons, and Dinesh Chandimal will take the gloves in his stead. The vacancy in the batting order meant that left-hand batsman Kithuruwan Vithanage would play his third Test - all of which have been against Bangladesh.

Offspinner Dilruwan Perera was also in the side, as were Suranga Lakmal and Shaminda Eranga, who both together bowled 130.3 Test overs in the past four weeks. Ajantha Mendis and Nuwan Pradeep however missed out.

Opener Shamsur Rahman became the 71st Test cricketer for Bangladesh, replacing Anamul Haque at the top of the order. Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak was left out in favour of seam bowler Robiul Islam.
