DHAKA: Bangladesh on Wednesday managed to score 35 runs from the hefty 498-run lead that Sri Lanka accumulated over the last two days in Mirpur.

Tamim lost his wicket early, while Ayub and Shamsur will hopefully try their best to bat out the fourth day to a position of relative safety.

The visiting Sri Lanka earlier in the day declared after piling on a whopping 730 for 6, after Mahela Jayawardene reached his seventh double-century and Kithuruwan Vithanage scored his maiden century in only his second Test.

Shakib Al Hasan begged three wickets and Sohag Gazi took two wickets while Al-Amin Hossain picked-up one wicket.
