DHAKA: Sri Lanka won by innings and 248 runs in first test match against Bangladesh on Thursday in Mirpur.
Bangladesh managed to score 250 runs losing all ten wickets in their second innings.
Sri Lanka`s seamers began the slide before the Bangladesh middle order succumbed to the offspin of Dilruwan Perera, who took a five-wicket haul in only his second Test.
Besides, Lakmal got three wickets while Eranga and Herath one wicket each.
Mominul Haque and Robiul Hossain were the two top scorers of Bangladesh with 50 and 32 runs.
On Wednesday, the visiting Sri Lanka declared after piling on a whopping 730 for 6, after Mahela Jayawardene reached his seventh double-century and Kithuruwan Vithanage scored his maiden century in only his second Test.
Shakib Al Hasan begged three wickets and Sohag Gazi took two wickets while Al-Amin Hossain picked-up one wicket.
