DHAKA: State Minister for Ministry of Youth and Sports Biren Sikder visited Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium of Chittagong ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
He visited the stadium, which is one of the main venues of the T20 World Cup, in the morning and also practice ground the Chittagong Mohila Krira Complex.
After visiting the venues, the minister will exchange views with Chittagong Divisional Krira Sangstha.
The fifth ICC World Twenty20 competition t is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from 16 March to 6 April 2014.
It will be played in three cities — Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet.
It will be second and consecutive time that an Asian country will host this event, as Sri Lanka hosted the previous tournament in 2012.
For the first time the tournament will have 16 teams including all ten full members and six associate members who qualified through the 2013 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier.
