Afghans beat Hong Kong

DHAKA: Afghanistan beat Hong Kong by 7 wickets in the qualifying round of ICC World Cup T-20 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium of Chittagong on Tuesday.        

Opener Mohammad Shahzad scored 68 runs off 53 balls that helped Afghanistan to reach 154-runs winning target set by Hong Kong.              

Shapoor Zadran, Hamza Hotak and Mohammad Nabi bagged 2-wickets each.              

Earlier in the day, Hong Kong won the toss and decided to bat first.  
   
Hong Kong amassed 153-run loosing eight-wicket in their innings.        

Mohammad Shahzad scored 68 runs and Shafiqullah bagged 51 runs on behalf of Afghan while MS Chapman and Waqas Barkat added 38 and 32-runs respectively from Hong Kong.               

The match was started at 3:30pm.      

Afghans were defeated to Bangladesh by 9-wickets on the opening day of the tournament and Nepal beat Hong Kong.
