DHAKA: ICC full member Zimbabwe beat Netherlands by five wickets in the qualifying round of Group B of ICC World T20 on Wednesday.                 

Zimbabwe scored 146 runs in reply to Netherlands’ 140 for five.                

Batsman Brendan Taylor scored highest 49-run off 39 balls while H Masakadza took 43 runs.      

Dutch bowler PM Seelaar bagged two wickets while Ahsan Malik and Timm van der Gugten one wicket each.                        

Earlier, Netherlands won the toss and elected to bat at Sylhet Cricket Stadium.      

TLW Cooper took 72 runs off 58 balls and BN Cooper scored 20 runs off 24 balls.       

P Utseya bagged two wickets while T Panyangara and N Mushangwe bagged one wicket each.   

Earlier on March 17, Ireland beat Zimbabwe by three wickets in the Group.
