DHAKA: Zimbabwe beat United Arab Emirate by five wickets in the eleventh match of qualifying round of ICC World T20 in Sylhet on Friday.
Zimbabwe scored 118 runs for five wickets with 38 balls remaining at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
E Chigumbura and T Maruma scored 53 and 22 runs respectively while UAE’s AM Guruge begged two wickets and EHSN Silva, Ahmed Raza and Khurram Khan picked one wicket each.
Earlier, Emirates set 117-run target for Zimbabwe for nine.
UAE skipper Khurram Khan added 26 runs off 27 balls, Swapnil Patil 30 off 27, Kamran Shazad 21 off 15 and Shadeep Silva included 13 runs off 16 balls not out.
Zimbawean bowler Sean Williams begged three wickets and Tendai Chatara and Sikandar Raza took two wickets each.
