DHAKA: The Super 10 phase of the World Twenty20 began Friday with a commanding seven-wicket win of India over Pakistan in Mirpur.
India scored 131 runs in 18.3-over for three in reply to Pakistan’s 130 for seven wickets.
Indian batsman Virat Kholi scored 36 not out off 32 balls and SK R Raina bagged 34 runs off 27 balls.
Indian bowler A Misra bagged two wickets. Besides, B Kumar and RA Jadeja got one wicket each.
Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal scored highest 33 runs off 30 balls while Ahmed Shehzad took 22 runs off 17 balls.
Pakistan bowler Umar Gul, Saeed Ajmal and Bilawal Bhatti got one wicket each.
Earlier, India won the toss and elected to field first at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
