DHAKA: Host Bangladesh are set to meet the ICC Twenty20 second place holder India in the twelfth match of Super10 round, also sixth game of Group 2, of the ICC World T20 on Mirpur of the city Friday evening.
The match will kick-off at 7:30pm local time at Shere Bangla National Stadium.
India will obviously try to keep their cent percent record on in the World Twenty20 on Friday and, in the process, damage the host’s hopes as they have no loss in the tournament yet.
Indian skipper MS Dhoni is pleased with how his side is shaping up. "We are playing well, so it doesn`t really matter to me that all of us should get a chance," he told the BCCI`s official website.
"Our bowling has been tested while our batting has not so far. Hopefully in the coming matches the other batsmen will get a chance,” he added.
Bangladesh will have to play to win the game, otherwise the tigers’ race for the tournament will literally end here. And, if they manage to triumph the victory the Group scenario will be a complex one.
According to Sky Sports, seamer Mashrafe Mortaza said "We have lost the (last) two games pretty disappointingly. We want to play well, fight as much as we can. We will play to win for sure, but above everything else we have to start well."
