DHAKA: South African batsmen are facing India bowlers in the second semi-final game to reach final of the ICC World Twenty20 on Friday evening.
Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.
This time India seem to chase behind World T20 championship once again as it won all its four matches in the group stage much like it became champion in the first World T20 tournament on 2007.
South Africa will obviously try to come out of its ‘choker’ title that means the Protea never managed to take further steps from the semi-final of any tournament. They have had its shares of ups and downs in the tournament, but have done a fine job of making it to the final four.
The both teams face each other in seven T20I matches. SA won only two games and India shared five victories, including the most recent game, a one-run win in a group match at the ICC World T20 2012.
Surprisingly, six out of seven T20Is between these teams were won by the team batting first.
