DHAKA: Bangladesh fielding coach Corey Richards also resigned from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday.

The BCB’s cricket operations chairman Akram Khan Confirmed this matter to banglanews.

However, Corey Richards has become the third high-profile member to part ways in the last 11 days.

His leaving, following the resignations of David Dwyer and Shane Jurgensen, means that the national team’s support staff has only two members – Physio Vibhav Singh and analyst Nasir Ahmed.

Corey told banglanews, “I have handed over my resignation letter to Akram and other concerns and they did acccept it instantly-- I shall fly within couple of weeks.”

“The BCB and I were instructed in two different directions, so it is just best that I step aside and let somebody else come in,” he added.

Richards told that the whitewash against New Zealand and the progress of some of the batsmen were some of the positives that he will take along with him.

“2013 was really successful in Bangladesh and people quickly forget about that, we took great strides in Bangladesh becoming a better cricket team, unfortunately the performances overshadowed the good work in the last 18 months. I am really pleased to be a part of some of them,” said Richards.
