DHAKA: Former Sri Lankan batsman, also recent assistant coach of New South Wales, Chandika Hathurusingha, has been selected as the main coach of Bangladesh Cricket Team.
Hathurusingha has been appointed for two years next.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hasan Papon confirmed the matter to banglanews after a meeting with the BCB high officials and selectors on Monday afternoon.
He told banglanews that Hathurusingha is going to start guiding Mushfiqs from June 10.
BCB President also said Hathurusingha has had experience at the helm of both New South Wales, in the latter half of the 2012-13 season, and Sydney Thunder.
