Kolkata needs 161-run

DHAKA: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are chasing 160-run set by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsmen in the 54th match of the 7th Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 24.

Earlier, Hyderabad scored 160–run losing seven wickets in their stipulated 20-over at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Sammy and Shikhar Dhawan scored 29-run each while Y Venugopal Rao amassed 27-run.

Shakib, RN ten Doeschate, V Kumar and M Morkel got one wicket each.

Knight Riders captain Gautam Gambhir have won the toss and elected to field first.

Currently KKR is at the third place in the points table and they have ensured the playoffs.

KKR opener R Uthappa has been leading the table of most runs scored by an individual in the league with 572-run before today’s match while S Narine has been leading the wicket takers’ list with 20-wicket so far.

KKR need to complete the chase in around 92 balls to secure second place.
