DHAKA: When all others kept watching, dancing or taking pleasure in Shakira’s “La..La..La... I dare you’’, banglanews dared to engage its entertainment team with a special assignment on it.
Story began few days back when Banglanews Editor in Chief Alamgir Hossain was, often, in his room, found watching or listening to this enthralling cum entertaining music, the world famous Columbian singer released on the occasion of Brasil World Cup Football 2014.
Alamgir Hossain later unveiled the mystery in an exclusive meeting with departmental heads by expressing his desire to make a Bangla version of the music that got famous across the globe.
“Do you dare to do?” Editor in Chief threw a question.
“Yes we dare’’, Johny Hoque, chief of entertainment department, answered affirmative. Golam Rabbani, Kamruzzaman Milu and other team members of the department also nodded in unison.
Editor in chief quickly called banglanews consultant editor Jewel Mazhar, who is also famous for his modern poetries, to join the meeting.
Jewel Mazhar joined and immediate agreed to translate the song. He did it engaging his passion, sense of accuracy and skill.
Once the script is done the entertainment team gave their strong recommendation that it is Tishma, country’s renowned pop singer, who can sing the song for the Bengali audience home and abroad.
Tishma accepted the offer with enthusiasm and within days composed, sang and got it recorded.
Tishma thanked banglanews and said, “The initiative was exceptional and praiseworthy and I’m delighted to work in it.”
Now came the question of visualization and the enthusiastic entertainment team took the responsibility.
They contacted Jayonto a film maker to visualise the song.
He took the assignment cordially and completed it in an impressive way. And now the first ever Bangla version of Shakira’s song is done.

Banglanews editor in chief Alamgir Hossain thanked the entertainment department specially its chief Johny Hoque for his passion to the process of completion of the task. Golam Rabbani, Kamruzzaman Milu, Noor Mohammad all worked hard to make it successfull, he said.
It is something new and banglanews has proved that it can take any task and complete with success, said Alamgir Hossain.
Editor in chief specially thanked Jewel Mazhar for his translation of the song in Bangla. We are proud of having a genius like Jewel Mazhar in our team. I hope he will continue translating such world famous pieces in Bangla in future, he said.
