DHAKA: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has asked all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to return home immediately as supposedly he is yet to get no-Objection Certificate from the BCB to participate in the West Indies league.
Shakib left Dhaka on Wednesday to Barbados to participate in the Caribbean Premier League and will return to Dhaka from London over the weekend.
"Shakib has been told to join the preliminary squad immediately, which began its training camp on July 1," BCB's acting CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told ESPNcricinfo.
Shakib played all eight games for Barbados Tridents in the inaugural season of the CPL last year, ending up as the second highest wicket-taker in the competition behind Krishmar Santokie.
