DHAKA: Favorite New Zealand are taking on mighty Australia as six Aussie batsmen walked to the pavilion before their score reached three digit in the teams’ ICC World Cup Pool A game at Eden Park, Auckland on Saturday.
Till filling of this report, Australia have scored 106 for nine in 22 overs. DA Warner was most successful, contributing 34 runs.
The Kiwis made a combined effort. TA Boult took three wickets while TG Southee and DL Vettori bagged two wickets each.
Earlier, Australia captain Michael Clarke won the toss and decided to bat. The match kicked off at 7:00am Bangladesh time.
New Zealand, who have won all their three games, kept the same side which has featured from the start of the tournament.
Australia, whose second game against Bangladesh was washed out in Brisbane last weekend, brought in fit-again skipper Michael Clarke for George Bailey and fast bowler Pat Cummins for Josh Hazlewood from the line-up which beat England in the opening game two weeks ago.
