DHAKA: Zimbabwe are facing India’s bowling attacks in the teams’ ICC World Cup Pool B last mach at Seddon Park in Auckland Saturday morning.
Zimbabwe have lost three wickets to score 77 runs in 21.2 overs till filling of this report.
Chamu Chibhabha began Zimbabwe’s innings with Hamilton Masakadza on the other end of the crease. India’s Mohammed Shami bowled the first over of the innings.
Zimbabwe lost early wickets. Umesh Yadav sent Masakadza back to the pavilion while the team’s score was at 11 runs in 3.3 overs.
In next over, Shami also made Chibhabha walk early to the pavilion. Mohit Sharma took Solomon Mire when Zimbabwe scored 33 runs in 11 overs.
Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams are on the crease with 47 runs off 55 balls and 30 runs of 45 balls respectively.
Earlier, India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl. The match kicked off at 7:00am Bangladesh time. Both sides are playing with keeping their teams unchanged.
India are looking for their sixth straight win in this World Cup and their 10th straight one across World Cups. India are assured a top spot in their group and a quarter-final against Bangladesh even if they lost this game.
This was Zimbabwe's stand-in captain Brendan Taylor's last match for his country.
