DHAKA: All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and seamer Rubel Hossain have restricted India’s pace sending top-order Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli back to the pavilion in the ICC World Cup 2nd Quarter-Final on Thursday.
India scored 105 runs for two after 26-over till filling this report at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Shikhar Dhawan, began India’s innings with Rohit Sharma on the other end of the crease while Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza bowled the first over.
Shakib hit first, taking Dhawan when India scored 75 runs in 16.3 overs. In next over, Rubel came to bowl, made Kohli walk to the pavilion when India’s scoreboard was at 79 runs in 17.5 overs.
Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane are on the crease now with 44 and 5 runs respectively.
The much-awaited match kicked off at Melbourne Cricket Ground at 9:30am Bangladesh time. India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat.
