DHAKA: Bangladesh batsmen are fighting for a 303-run target at Melbourne cricket ground Thursday to reach World Cup semifinals.
Till filing this report Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes returned to the pavilion scoring 25 and 5 runs respectively.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma’s ton helped India set a target of 303 runs for Bangladesh at the ICC World Cup 2nd Quarter-Final.
India scored 302 runs for six in 50 overs with Sharma’s 137 runs and Suresh Raina’s 65 runs.
Taskin Ahmed bagged three wickets while Shakib, Mashrafe and Rubel picked up one wicket each.
Shakib bag the first wicket - Dhawan when India scored 75 runs in 16.3 overs. In next over, Rubel came to bowl, made Kohli walk to the pavilion when India’s scoreboard was at 79 runs in 17.5 overs.
The much-awaited match kicked off at Melbourne Cricket Ground at 9:30am Bangladesh time. India captain MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat.
