DHAKA: Bangladesh U-19s beat South Africa Under-19s cricket team in the first Youth One Day International (ODI) by 5 wickets with 36 balls remaining at the Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Winning the toss, South Africa decided to bat first. From the moment go, young South African batsmen, who are the current U-19s World Cup Champions, faced some quality bowling.
They managed to score 160-run losing eight wickets after their stipulated 50-over.
Abdu Galiem scored 38 reuns while De Zorzi amassed 35. Saleh Ahmed and Sanjit Saha took two wickets each for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh youths chased down the small target of 161-run in 44-over losing five wickets only.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Pinak scored 39-run each while Mossabbek amassed 27-run. Sean Andre took four Bangladeshi wickets.
Bangladesh U-19s are leading the 7-match series 1-0.
