DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI beat visiting Pakistanis in the practice match by 1-wicket with 7 balls remaining at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj on Wednesday.
BCB XI chased down the target of 269-run losing nine wickets in 48.5-over. Sabbir Rahman was the star in the chase scoring 123-run off 99 balls with the help of seven 4’s and eight 6’s.
Imrul Kayes and Litton Das played a handful knock of 36 and 22 runs. Sohag Gazi played a cameo of 36-run off 28-ball lower down the order.
Junaid Khan took four Bangladeshi wickets while Rahat Ali picked up two. Saeed Ajmal, Wahab Riaz and Yasir Shah took one wicket each.
Ealier, Pakistanis captain Azhar Ali won the toss and decided to bat first. The match kicked off at 9:30am.
A pair of fifties by Mohammad Hafeez and Fawad Alam helped Pakistanis to reach 268-run.
Hafeez scored 85-run off 79-ball and Alam 67 off 58. Four other batsmen reached double digit - Azhar Ali (27), Haris Sohail (23), Mohammad Rizwan (18), and Saeed Ajmal (16).
Shuvagata Hom was most successful among the Tiger bowlers. He took three wickets. Besides, Mohammad Shahid, Muktar Ali, Jubair Hossain, Taijul Islam and Sohag Gazi took a wicket each.
