DHAKA: Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team beat the visiting South Africa Under-19s by 26-run in the 4th youth ODI at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.
While chasing down a Bangladesh U-19s set score of 207-run, Proteas U-19s managed to score 180-run losing nine wickets in their stipulated 50-over.
PWA Mulder was the top scorer with 80-run while R Moonsamy, T de Zorzi and L Senokwane amassed 20, 19 and 19 reuns respectively.
Mosabbek Hossain, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Mohammad Saifuddin took two South African wickets each while Sanjit Saha and Nihaduzzaman took one wicket each.
Earlier, Bangladesh Under-19s captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to bat first.
The Bangladeshi youth scored 206-run. Nazmul Hossain Shanto scored 45-run while Pinak Ghosh, Saif Hassan and Mosabbek Hossain amassed 42, 41 and 22-run.
BD Glover took three Bangladeshi wickets and D Foxcroft took two. Z Abrahams and A D Galiem took one wicket each.
Bangladesh youth are leading the seven match series by 3-1.
