DHAKA: The International Cricket Council has fined Pakistan left-arm fast-bowler Wahab Riaz and Bangladesh batsman Shakib al Hasan for firing verbal volleys at each other during the first Test match which ended in a draw.
Riaz and Hasan were seen pointing fingers during the 118th over of the Test match on Saturday which ended in a draw.
Misbah had to jump in to save the day; he was later seen talking to the umpire Ranmore Matinesz in order to ease the tension, Express News reported.
The two players have been fined equivalent to 30 percent of the match fee.
Bangladesh cricketer Tamim Iqbal had smashed team’s highest Test score of 206 during the match held Saturday.
The draw was a morale-booster for Bangladesh ahead of the second and final match starting in Dhaka next Wednesday.
