DHAKA: The first day of the second and last Test against Pakistan was a tough day for the Bangladeshi bowlers after captain Mushfiqur Rahim decided to field first on the slightly grassy pitch at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur Wednesday.
Tiger bowlers managed to take three wickets while centuries from veteran Yunus Khan and Azhar Ali steered Pakistan to 325 runs after 90-over.
Younis Khan scored 148 runs, his 29th ton in Test cricket, and Azhar Ali is still on the crease with 127-run, his 8th in Test matches. Misbah-ul Haq is another batsman on the crease with 9-run.
Mohammad Shahid was the pick of Bangladesh bowlers, taking two wickets while Taijul Islam picked up another Pakistan wicket.
Shahadat Hossain, who replaced injured Rubel Hossain, was stretchered off the field while practising during the lunch break for his knee injury.
