DHAKA: Hours after sustaining injuries of Tigers’ ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza in a road accident, this time all-rounder Mohammad Mahmudullah was injured during a practice session on Thursday.
Mahmudullah suffered injuries in two fingers of his left hand while participating in a fielding exercise at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The 29-year-old right-hand batsman was brought to the city’s Apollo Hospital for necessary medical tests and treatment till the filing of this report at 13:50pm.
Earlier in the morning, a bus hit a rickshaw, carrying Mashrafe, from behind around 9:30am, on his way to the stadium.
Mashrafe sustained injuries on his wrists and two knees. He was given first aid treatment immediately. The pacer is now under the observation of national cricket physician Debashis Chowdhury.
However, nothing critical happened, said Debashis.
