DHAKA: Bangladesh took two wickets of India after the visitors resumed their rain-interrupted first innings batting on Day three morning of the one-off Test at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah on Friday.
Star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan took the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma.
Dhawan scored 173-run while Sharma amassed only 6-run before returning pavilion.
Currently Vijay and Kohli are on the crease with 111 and 7-run. India have scored 303-run after 74-over.
Earlier, rain interrupted the first day’s play while heavy rain washed out the play on the second day of the lone test match.
On Wednesday, despite having 34 overs lost due to rain interruption and bad light, India scored 239 runs with no loss at stumps on Day-1.
Shikhar Dhawan bounced back with a very aggressive unbeaten 150. Murali Vijay was also solid with his 89 not out. The pair scored their second 200-run opening partnership.
India with the advantage of bowling last on this wicket has its grip very firm on the test.
Meanwhile, met office on Thursday forecasted the bad weather accompanied by heavy rainfall is likely to continue for next three days.
The rainfall occurred as trough of low lies over North West Bay and Southwest and monsoon has advanced up to central part of Bangladesh, according to sources of met office.
