DHAKA: The day- 4 of the one-off test has begun with the first innings of Bangladesh as India had earlier on Saturday morning declared their rain-interrupted first innings at 462 for six.
Bangladesh scored 51 runs in 11 overs and trailed by 411 runs with 9 wickets remaining in the 1st innings till the filing of this report at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah.
Tamim Iqbal opened the Tigers’ innings with Imrul Kayes on the other end of the crease.
But, Bangladesh lost early wickets as Tamim Iqbal became victim of stumping by Warddiman Saha in last ball of the in innings’ fifth over in Ravichandran Ashwin’s blowing.
Mominul Haque came to the crease then. Mominul and Imrul are batting now with 14 and 18 runs.
Earlier on Friday, Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay had scored 173 and 150 to anchor India to 462-6 at stumps on the third day of the test.
India followed innings forfeiture in the sunny morning. A declaration before the innings starts is called an innings forfeiture.
