DHAKA: The fifth and final day’s play of the one-off Test between India and Bangladesh has started after rain had washed out the first session on Sunday morning.
Ravichandran Ashwin removed Shakib Al Hasan on innings resumption.
Bangladesh scored 124 in 33 overs and trailed by 338 runs with six wickets remaining in the 1st innings till the filling of this report.
Imrul Kayes and Soumya Sarkar were batting with 59 and 3 runs respectively.
The play began at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj at 12:45 pm.
Earlier on Saturday, the fourth day’s play was called off after the end of over-30.1 in the first session due to heavy showers and a wet outfield.
Bangladesh scored 111 for in 30.1 overs losing three wickets early in the rain-interrupted one-off test when India declared their first innings before the start of the game on Saturday morning.
On Friday, Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay had scored 173 and 150 to anchor India to 462-6 at stumps on the third day of the test. India followed innings forfeiture on Saturday morning.
