DHAKA: Visiting India are apparently taking on Bangladesh as their bowlers removed seven Bangladesh batsmen on the fifth and final day’s play of the one-off Test on Sunday.
Bangladesh scored 256 all out in 65.5 overs and trailed by 206 runs in the 1st innings at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah of Narayanganj till the filling of this report.
Ravichandran Ashwin removed Shakib Al Hasan, Shuvagata Hom and Litton Das. Harbhajan Singh had Imrul Kayes (72 off 139) caught behind by Warddiman Shah. Varun Araon bowled Soumya Sarkar.
Jubair Hossain and Taijul Islam are at the crease.
The last day’s play of the rain-interrupted match began at 12:45 pm.
Earlier on Saturday, the fourth day’s play was called off after the end of over-30.1 in the first session due to heavy showers and a wet outfield.
Bangladesh scored 111 for in 30.1 overs at stumps losing three wickets after follow an innings forfeiture on Saturday morning.
On Friday, Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay had scored 173 and 150 to anchor India to 462-6 at stumps on the third day of the test.
