DHAKA: Bangladesh is set to face India in their first match of three-match ODI series in city on Thursday under the threat of bad monsoon.
The match will kick off at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in city is expected at 3:00pm local time.
Bangladesh have only one win against India in a bilateral series, in Dhaka in 2004. The teams have played three series in 2004, 2007 and 2014. India sealed all series.
This series is more important for the hosts to keep up with the Champions Trophy qualification. Tigers need at least one win out of three matches to stay in the top eight of the ICC ODI rankings.
The Mirpur pitch has been on the slower side in ODIs lately but the question remains how exposure to the monsoon changes it. The weather watch will continue as well, with heavy rain forecast until 6 pm local time.
