DHAKA: The Government of Japan has provided a set of new JUDO equipments worth about $28,381 to Bangladesh Institute of Sports (BKSP) recently, said a press release of Japanese embassy in Dhaka on Thursday.
The equipments including two sets of mattresses, digital score board and a manual scoreboard were provided under the Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Project (GCGP) of Japan.
All equipments have already been set up at the BSKP and judo students have begun practicing on the brand new judo mattresses under a safe environment.
Japanese government is pleased to extend its support to BKSP as the country is committed to “Sports for Tomorrow Programme” towards 2020 – the year of Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, according the release.
